Event Description: Join us for a special event with Dr. Sean Michael, Regional Chief Medical Officer, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Denver, to provide an overview of the final policies for the 2023 performance year. During this webinar, CMS will answer questions from attendees, as time permits.

1. An overview of the finalized 2023 Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) Final Rule.
2. Participants should have a solid understanding of the 2023 Quality Payment Program Policy Changes as they relate to:

   • MIPS Value Pathways (MVPs)
   • Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP)
   • Public Reporting

Speaker: Dr. Sean Michael is a board-certified and actively practicing emergency physician with dual-board certification in clinical informatics. He serves as Regional Chief Medical Officer for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Denver office, focusing on the implementation of CMS programs and policy, including Medicare, Medicaid, EMTALA, and the agency’s health access and equity initiatives across the Mountain West. As a senior medical advisor for CMS programs in the region, he provides clinical expertise around payment, policy, quality improvement, survey/enforcement operations, contracted health plans, and data analytics, and he serves as the principal liaison with the clinical community.
